Chilliwack River Rafting hosts both aggressive and family oriented whitewater adventures. We use small footcup equipped whitewater rafts and inflatable kayaks on class 3 to 4+ whitewater.
Operating year round from our 5 acre riverside resort we offer competitive wages, accommodation and training to our guides. We are looking for experienced technical paddle raft guides, class 4 kayakers and successful graduates of our 9 or 14 day whitewater guide schools.

Guide School Course
Instruction is from 9 to 5pm each day. The course is based at our Chilliwack River Resort. Campsites, hot showers, indoor study areas and a sauna are provided for students.
Course Content
The goal is to prepare each student for the British Columbia
guide’s exam. A photo license is issued to successful students and
exam results are kept as per Transport Canada requirements. We have
been hosting this course and exam since 1995 and our guides now work
throughout Canada and around the world. Former graduates of our
school now operate rafting companies in Norway, B.C. and China.
Instruction is focused on the rivers we operate on and the equipment
and operating systems we use. The instructors are Chilliwack River
Rafting managers and trip leaders. These are the people who are
responsible for hiring and supervising guides on our trips.
Equipment
Instruction takes place in paddle rafts, pontoon rafts,
whitewater canoes and inflatable kayaks. All personal equipment
wetsuits, lifejackets etc are supplied for the course. Students are
responsible for their own meals during the course. Students staying
at the resort will need cooking equipment, tents, sleeping bags and
warm clothes.
